The Seasonic PRIME PX ATX 3.1 Series is built on top of all the great features of PRIME PX platform with added ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 compatibility. Currently available in 1600 and 2200 W, it is equipped with native 12V-2×6 connectors and Digital Fan Control, and 105°C-rated Japanese electrolytic capacitors support stable power delivery under sustained thermal load. These models are made for systems with very high-power demands. For many high-end gaming PCs and workstations, 1600 W already gives plenty of room. The 2200 W version is there for more extreme configurations where the total system load can go much higher. If you are not sure what your build needs, our Wattage Calculator is a good place to check first.
Check this before buying. PRIME PX-2200 requires a 200–240 V AC input and uses a C19 15 A power cord. Your wall outlet and electrical circuit need to be suitable for this level of power.
Yes. The series supports ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 and comes with native 12V-2×6 connectivity for compatible graphics cards. When connecting a 12V-2×6 cable, make sure it is fully inserted and locked in place. Avoid a sharp bend immediately next to the connector as well. No, not with Hybrid Mode enabled. The fan can stay off when the PSU does not need active cooling and will start automatically once temperature or load increases. If you prefer the fan to keep spinning, Hybrid Mode can simply be turned off.
The first difference is efficiency. PRIME PX is 80 PLUS Platinum certified, while PRIME TX carries the higher 80 PLUS Titanium rating. Wattages are different too: PRIME PX comes in 1600 W and 2200 W, while PRIME TX is available in 1300 W and 1600 W. Which one makes more sense really depends on the power level and efficiency you are looking for.
