With the arrival of the new ATX 3.0 / PCIe 5.0 specifications, some graphic cards will now be powered by the new 12VHPWR connector. Offering up to 600 W of power, the Seasonic 12VHPWR cable has been crafted with high quality materials, such as high current terminal connectors and 16 AWG wires to ensure highest performance and safety in usage.
Please see Sea Sonic's compatibility recommendations below:

Power supply requirement: 650 W and above

The 12VHPWR cable that is provided with your Seasonic power supply is rated at 600 W.
This means the maximum allowable power pull from the power supply by the VGA can be up to 600 W.
If your VGA is very power usage intensive, then please consider power supplies that are rated at 750 W and higher.

FAQ

The Seasonic 12VHPWR cable is used to connect modern GPUs to the power supply. It perfectly fits the NVIDIA RTX 40/50 series GPUs. The cable goes with one single connector instead of several 8-pin PCIe connectors, delivering high power to the GPU via the 12VHPWR standard.
It is compatible with all Seasonic PSU models that support the ATX 3.1 standard with a native or compatible 12VHPWR connector. There are: Seasonic PRIME TX ATX 3.1 / PX ATX 3.1; Seasonic VERTEX PX ATX 3.1 / GX ATX 3.1.; Seasonic FOCUS GX ATX 3.1.
Yes, a standard 12VHPWR cable can deliver up to 600W to a GPU when properly connected to a compatible PSU.
For proper PC work, the Seasonic 12VHPWR cable must be connected correctly. Once you hear the connector “click” into place, and there’s no visible gap, it’s a sign that you did all right. Also, avoid sharp bends near the connector (especially the first 3–4 cm) and use only the original or a certified cable without adapters.
Yes, if the power supply supports the appropriate ATX 3.1 standard and has a certified 12VHPWR output. There are cases when a 650W power supply doesn’t fit because it isn't ATX 3.1 compliant or doesn't have the correct connector for this cable.
