Seasonic PRIME TX ATX 3.1 Series

The Seasonic PRIME TX ATX 3.1 Series is built on top of all the great features of PRIME TX platform with added ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 compatibility. Currently the 1600 W and 1300 W units are equipped with native 12V-2×6 connectors, Digital Fan Control, and 105°C-rated Japanese electrolytic capacitors support stable power delivery under sustained thermal load. All these qualities make these power supplies perfect to welcome the newest high power graphic cards and processors on the market.

The Seasonic PRIME ATX 3.0 Series power supplies were initially shipped with 12VHPWR cables. Following the transition to the ATX 3.1 standard, these models were updated to use the new 12V-2×6 connectors.

Digital Hybrid Fan Control

Seasonic’s vast experience in designing the most silent and efficient power supplies on the market was translated into the development of Hybrid Mode; a state-of-the-art digital fan control that enables users to keep the overall fan noise at the lowest possible level.
Note: The Digital Hybrid Fan Control chart is provided for reference only. The shape of the curve can look different due to the variability in ambient temperature, system set-up, air flow, and other unpredictable factors.

Fluid Dynamic Fan Bearing

High performance Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) fans are designed to take advantage of the impact absorbance effects of oil. They are extremely reliable and generate considerably less operating noise and heat than ball bearing fans. The lubrication of the bearing surface reduces friction and vibration and therefore lowers overall power consumption. Due to the effortless, quieter rotations and its robust construction, this reliable fan technology also greatly increases the lifespan of the fan.

  • When the fan shaft rotates, high pressure oil drifts along the grooves of the bearing sleeve to generate a thin layer of lubrication between the bearing faces.
  • As the speed increases, so does dynamic oil pressure and the shaft is lifted from the bearing to create smooth, effortless rotations. The herringbone shape of the groves helps to efficiently channel the lubricant and avert leakage.

Recommended 12V-2×6 Cable Installation

  • BOTH 12V-2×6 connectors of your 12V-2x6 cable must always be plugged into your power supply, ensuring they are FULLY INSERTED, CLICK-LOCKED, and TIGHT..
  • DO NOT bend or apply force to the cable after it is plugged into place.

FAQ

PRIME TX is built for users who want very high efficiency together with strong electrical performance. It carries an 80 PLUS Titanium rating and keeps load regulation below 0.5%. It is also designed for current high-end hardware, with ATX 3.1, PCIe 5.1 and native 12V-2×6 support.
It refers to how closely the PSU keeps its output voltage within the target range as system load changes. On PRIME TX ATX 3.1, load regulation is specified at under 0.5%. This does not mean the PC will automatically run faster, but it is part of the PSU's electrical performance and voltage stability.
No. The 1300 W and 1600 W models can also make sense for content creation or professional workstations with high power requirements. The important point is to choose the PSU according to the complete system rather than the GPU alone. For a very demanding workstation, it is also worth checking the number and type of GPU power connections required.
Earlier versions of this platform were originally released under ATX 3.0 and shipped with 12VHPWR cables. The current ATX 3.1 models use the revised 12V-2×6 connector instead. If you want to compare other Seasonic models using the current standard, you can browse our ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 power supplies.
Not always, so check the available PSU space before buying. PRIME TX ATX 3.1 is 210 mm long, while ATX power supplies can vary quite a lot in depth. In some cases, drive cages or limited space for cable routing can reduce the room available for the PSU.
