PRIME PX ATX 3.1

The Seasonic PRIME PX ATX 3.1 Series is built on top of all the great features of PRIME PX platform with added ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 compatibility. Currently the 1600 W is equipped with native 12V-2×6 connectors and Digital Fan Control, and 105°C-rated Japanese electrolytic capacitors guarantee unwavering power delivery and long-term durability. All these qualities make this power supply perfect to welcome the newest high power graphic cards and processors on the market.

The Seasonic PRIME ATX 3.0 Series power supplies were initially shipped with 12VHPWR cables. Following the update to the ATX 3.1 standard, we began replacing these with the new 12V-2×6 connectors.

During this transition period, customers may receive either 12VHPWR or 12V-2×6 cables in the box. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please note that availability may vary by region. Here is the planned schedule for the new version availability:

  • North America: During Q1 2025

Digital Hybrid Fan Control

Seasonic’s vast experience in designing the most silent and efficient power supplies on the market was translated into the development of Hybrid Mode; a state-of-the-art digital fan control that enables users to keep the overall fan noise at the lowest possible level.

Fluid Dynamic Fan Bearing

High performance Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) fans are designed to take advantage of the impact absorbance effects of oil. They are extremely reliable and generate considerably less operating noise and heat than ball bearing fans. The lubrication of the bearing surface reduces friction and vibration and therefore lowers overall power consumption. Due to the effortless, quieter rotations and its robust construction, this reliable fan technology also greatly increases the lifespan of the fan.

  • When the fan shaft rotates, high pressure oil drifts along the grooves of the bearing sleeve to generate a thin layer of lubrication between the bearing faces.
  • As the speed increases, so does dynamic oil pressure and the shaft is lifted from the bearing to create smooth, effortless rotations. The herringbone shape of the groves helps to efficiently channel the lubricant and avert leakage.

  • BOTH 12V-2×6 connectors of your 12V-2x6 cable must always be plugged into your power supply, ensuring they are FULLY INSERTED, CLICKED-LOCKED, and TIGHT..
  • DO NOT bend or apply force to the cable after it is plugged into place.
